Butterfly and Fisherman Club (Youth Groups)
BUTTERFLY AND FISHERMAN CLUBS ARE MID-WEEK CHILDREN’S CLUBS AT PINEDALE BIBLE CHURCH. We meet every Wednesday afternoon during the school year, from 3:30-5:00 PM. The children are picked up at the Pinedale Elementary School by the Church bus and parents pick their children up at the church.
BUTTERFLY CLUB is for children in Kindegarten through 2nd grade. The children are taught from God’s Word and memorize a verse each club. They also have snacks, a game time and activity centers. Once a month they have a special “flutter day” where they do a special activity such as watching a movie or doing a special craft. The children earn prizes for points earned during the year for such things as attendance, verses memorized, friends brought, and much more. Andrea Rogers leads a great staff of adults and a couple youth who help out. She has been directing this ministry for over 5 years. She has her teaching degree in elementary education and loves the Lord and children.
FISHERMAN CLUB is for children from 3rd grade through 5th grade. The children are taught basic Bible doctrine in a fun age-appropriate way. They memorize 2 verses each club, play games (especially dodge ball), have a Bible puzzle, & eat yummy snacks. Once a month they have a special shoreleave such as a hike, sledding, or a movie. Also, they have a church store once a month where they can spend “talents” they earned for each memory verse quoted. At the end of the year trophies and medals are handed out for those who did well earning points by wearing their Fisherman’s Shirt, bringing their Bible, memorizing verses and bringing friends. Fisherman’s Club is lead by Youth Pastor Billy Wood and a qualified children’s staff.
Middle School Youth Group
Middle School Youth Group is for youth from 6th to 8th grades. We meet every school Wednesday night from 7:00-8:15 PM at the Pinedale High School Gym. (Once a month we meet at the church for a game-show type quiz). This is a fast pace youth group with lots of games such as various kinds of dodge-ball and other high energy games. We are divided into teams that earn points to qualify to go on free special outings every 3 months, such as Riot Zone amusement park in Idaho, skiing/boarding in Jackson Hole, and paint-balling at OFCR camp. The teams earn points through attending, saying verses, bringing friends, having their Bibles, attending Sunday School, and answering quiz questions. Pastor Jim leads a great group of fun-loving adult leaders who also love the Lord and the youth they work with.
